Social Ministry Mission

To work in the vineyard of Our Lord, in service to His children through use of the gospel of Christ Jesus. By acts of charity, and acts of kindness, as Our Divine Master taught. To be good stewards of monies provided by our congregation and friends. To extend the hand of friendship and fellowship to all, no matter race, creed, or condition. To walk the path He provided, in joy with faith, this is our mission, our commitment, and the way of our commission.

Specific Goals for the year 2010

To show love and fellowship with Valentines to the prisoners children (CJM), to help strengthen the bond between parent and child. To give the tools for education to our CJM children, knowing that without school, they could recreate the tragic errors of their incarcerated parent. To celebrate the Risen Lord with Easter remembrances. To bring Christmas and Christ into their lives, that they may know hope.

To walk for the hungry, not only to raise funds, but to show support for those who struggle in life. To gather food for the pantry, by gleaming, we hope to fill an empty stomach. To host hospitality to our congregation in their needs this year.

To welcome the displaced people of the streets, to let them have a safe haven, clothing, and food, to celebrate Christmas and the love that Our Lord brought forth through His Birth into our world

Following the Book, we pray that we may be worthy:

Matthew 25:35-40 (New International Version)

35 'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

To be cheerful, with joy in our hearts, as we go forward in love, to our congregation, and our fellow friends as we perform our commission. For as He has loved us, we too must love our neighbor.

Please keep all of our Angels in your heart, prayers and Mass offerings.
